Request for a meeting for further engagement of ……………………………….. SLP after our meeting with DMRE

This is a request for a meeting to discuss the following matters:

  1. Feedback from DMRE regarding the project we want as SLP for our community
  2. Presentation of the Project we want as our SLP (Resource Center)
  3. Community challenge from the Resource Center database since its inception

Summary / Backround on the matters above:

  1. We had a meeting on the 13th March 2023 with Mr …………..(DMRE) giving them presentation on the project we want as SLP with its nature (Self sustainability) explanation. Their response was that they cannot enforce a project on us when we have a plan of our own which we see fit for the community, we should also do the same presentation to the mine and reach an agreement to present to them(DMRE).
  2. The project we want is a RESOURCE CENTER in the community which we already started with it on the 14th March 2023 after our meeting with DMRE. We have opened the resource from the Community Hall (Tribal House) were the community is being assisted with the following services

  • Business
  • Careers
  • Conferences_and_Seminars
  • Education_And_Training
  • Employment
    Government_Programs
  • Graduate_Program
  • Internships
  • Learnerships
  • Library
  • Market_Place
  • Market_Place_Shared_Resource
  • Mentorship
  • Scholarship
  • School_sponsorship
  • Skills_Development
  • Sponsorship_and_grants
  • Word_Of_God_(Discipleship)

The Resource Center has the following objectives/Benefits but not limited to:

  • Career Guidance to find the right path
  • Personal Development to archive highest level of productivity and success
  • Skills Transfer and giving work experience in the 4thindustrial revolution through appointment of mentors
  • Getting employment or being active in the economy
  • Running an Enlight Resource Center as a Center Manager
  • Mastering the art of employment
  1. Our presentation will cover the amount of work done already by the resource center from 14th march to today
    1. Buildup on community database (Each Family)
    2. The need of each family member
    3. Service they are already getting from the resource center
    4. Their contribution (R500 per year per family) towards continuous sustainability of the Resource Center (Payments already made and commitments)

Our request is for the mine to support this initiative in the SLP of our community. Below is the area of needs in the center currently

  • Furniture in the center (Tables, chairs, Magnetic white board)
  • Office Equipment (Computers or Tablets, Internet, Router, Printer)
  • Operational Costs
  • Adoption of families especially those who cannot afford the contribution (R500 per year per family)
