OPTION 1 – ONLINE REGISTRATION

1. Create a user profile;
   1. Register an account on u-filing https://ufiling.labour.gov.za/
   2. Answer security questions, this are random questions from your past and current situations about your physical address, postal address, email address, mobile numbers as well as employers.
   3. Once you’ve answered the questions successfully, then you update your personal details
2. Register an employer under your profile
   1. You need to select an option between a Commercial employer/ Domestic employer / Labour practitioner

      1. Commercial Employer

          Follow the below steps to register as a commercial employer:

         1. Verify Employer
         2. Capture Ownership Details
         3. Capture Qualification Criteria
         4. Capture Organisation Details
         5. Capture Employee
         6. Capture Employee Employment Details (ID, Names, Physical and Postal Address)

OPTION 2 – REGISTER VIA EMAIL
This option is used if one cannot/ is struggling to register online

In order to be assisted with the UIF Ref Number/Company Registration, kindly send the supporting documents in a PDF Format to newui8registrations@labour.gov.za to be registered and wait for their feedback. Alternatively, visit U-filing site

·        CK/CIPC documents

·        UI19 form including employee’s information

·        UI8 form

·        ID copy of the director

Kindly note that by the time you register for UIF the company must be having employees, as their information should be declared on UI19
